PENDING - The Inaugural Pink Ball
When entrusted with producing a Ball unlike any before, you begin by planting seeds. For The Pink Ball at the studio’s local, The British Museum, that idea bloomed quite literally. By night, the Great Court was reawakened with a monumental lotus flower, glittering beneath the glass ceiling and casting light across an assembly of royals, cultural custodians and contemporary celebrity.

Tasked with honouring the timeless while ushering in the new, My Beautiful City collaborated with makers who value permanence as much as spectacle. The Pink Lotus, conceived to bloom beyond the night itself, was engineered with a steel armour, built not to wilt once the curtain fell, but to endure the elements in whatever landscape it inhabits next.

The breakdown:
- 1 tonne of steel
- 43 kg of glitter
- 5 glitter wranglers
- 3 metal workers
- 5 weeks of fabrication
One blooming lotus flower, illuminating The British Museum for the inaugural Pink Ball.
