PENDING - Mango x Kaia Gerber Craft Your Own Story

The Brief
Mango teamed up with Kaia Gerber to imagine a festive-season ready collection that left space for the New York Soho Set to craft their own story, style and shop for their way.
The Concept
Brick by brick the city was built, the path to create paved forward. We brought VIP guests closer to the building blocks of greatness with a brickwork inspired dynamic table and brutally dressed space.
The event design took inspiration from New York City’s distinct materiality and architectural character. Key elements will reference the city’s defining textures and structures, including brick facades, industrial fire escapes, and black ironwork. We crafted a layout that brings the concept to life, ensuring that every element is both immersive and intentional.
Site scouting (how many venues)
Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet, consectetur adipiscing elit, sed do eiusmod tempor incididunt ut labore et dolore magna aliqua.

Design & Build
We designed the dinner tables to be site specific. Each table was designed and scaled precisely to fit the venue. The materiality was chosen in direct response to the existing venue, reflecting authentic New York materials. We prefabricated the dinner tables off site ensuring that all the details and colors of the brick are realistic (I’m not sure if we should mention that it is fake brick?) The DJ Booth, the Bar, The collection display were designed based off of the materiality of the brick to maintain the visual thread and identity throughout the event. MBC designed draping throughout the space to build anticipation and create dynamic moments.
The dinner space was flipped to the pop up within a day, to be sustainable, we utilized existing fabrication elements but rearranged them so that the space feels fresh and new. The dinner table became a space to host talks and became a community space for the guests to mingle

Talent & Content
Mango brought talents to capture content for the dinner. MBC designed the event sequence to guide guests through a progression of spaces, beginning with the exhibition highlighting the Kaia Gerber collection, moving through the bar and screening, and ending with the unveiling of a beautifully lit dinner space. Gohar created a choreographed performance featuring desserts wheeled in and carefully placed atop the existing brick sculptures on the table.
For the pop up, MBC designed the activations and guest flow. Through the concept of ”Craft Your Own Story” we invite the public to craft their own stories through the activations, from tarot reading , live poetry, live artist installation and options to customizing their own drink with La Cabra.

What Made it Work
- Utilizing New York materials (brick) as a main element highlights the presence of mango in NYC even more

- Each pop up guests gets to experience the pop up in their own unique ways (choosing their own journey)
