My Beautiful City creatively produced Alexa Chung’s first London Fashion Week show, entitled ‘Arrivals and Departures,’ whose 1970s style airport setting was inspired by architect Carlo Scarpa and referenced by means of a conceptual maze of wooden panels, infinity mirrors, and leafy plants.
Alexa wanted to avoid the trappings of a conventional fashion show, desiring a show that felt unique, disorientating and trippy.
We delivered a visually stunning and surrealist show mimicking a retro airport — a set filled with illusions and perspective play, including models that appeared out of nowhere, then suddenly disappeared.
